Phew, what a wonderful show! Thank you to all our fabulous customers - so many great conversations and giggles and such lovely comments about our work, we really appreciated all of it. Thank you!
A snap of our stand, and below are some pics of our friendly neighbours, what a fab week :)
Wow, we are so excited to be exhibiting at this prestigious fair again! It's been a few years but we're sure the atmosphere will be just as festive and the standard of work be just as brilliant as before. We're also looking forward to seeing a few familiar faces - the craft fair crowd are such a lovely lot.

We've just announced a little giveaway on Facebook for a cheeky £15 voucher - what would you spend yours on? It could go a long way with lush necklaces at just £5, beautiful hand finished cards at £2 and sweet handmade Christmas decs at only £4.50!
As well as creating some little things we are also budget conscious Mums, we know what it's like to eek out the pennies and one-off handcrafted items can all too often be out of reach. We like to offer beautiful items that are affordable - we all deserve some lovely in our lives.
Has been a really busy week at Handmade Dorset HQ! Mostly swimming in the deep, unfathomable waters of SEO, but managing to snatch some precious breaths making too. Here's some clay snowmen in stage one and two, I love both stages equally - sculpting and painting. By stage three I tend to get a little jittery as to how they might turn out - anyone else get that? Up till that point they're full of promise and possibility. (Hmm... maybe that's why I used to procrastinate in getting things finished - interesting post for another day maybe - I'm sure I'm not the only one ha ha?)
I'll share the acorn pendants another day too - they're going to be so cute.
So many ideas for these little log pieces! So far I've painted robins, snowmen and now these little love wreaths. I made a few last year and fully intended to cut my own branches this year but worry the surfaces would be all wobbly - have you tried it? I'd be interested to know how it worked and what saw you used. More images to follow as I finish them.
Just as we're about to get knee deep in robins and reindeer the invites and paperwork for next years craft shows start popping through the door - it happens every year but always catches me off guard. I'm not one for forward planning - took 20 years to get this website off the ground ha ha - so thinking about a new business year just doesn't compute. I want to revel in the here and now, to really enjoy this slow and steady build up to the creative climax of the year.
Every year, about now, I fantasise about what I'm going to make my loved ones this Christmas - the personalised photo frame complete with handpicked photos, that particular brooch to go with that particular dress, the silly in-joke stocking filler that only they will understand. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, but when it does - it is always loved and mostly treasured.
I wonder what you are planning to make this year, I'd love to hear! Feel free to comment below.... here's one I made earlier!
We've had lovely feedback and we so appreciate it. Being creative types we're also pretty open to new ideas so if there's anything you'd like to see here please let us know.
Today we had cows for company, they visit the field behind the studio twice a year and usually chomp on the cordelines in our garden. Been a glorious October so far hasn't it?
We're so pleased you came! It's been a little bonkers getting this ready - a whirlwind of learning techie stuff ha ha - but we're here and the bare, but dare we say, beautiful bones of our online shop is in the real world sharing the love, thank you for joining us.
What better way than to spend an autumn evening browsing our new website? we have so much more to bring too - please keep checking back, our workshop is bursting with new makes in various stages and we'll be bringing them to you soon.
Boo! Our delivery of lovely components to make more pretties has gone astray (UK mail - don't ask), it'll just be a bit longer before we can share them with you all. In the meantime here's a rather natty brooch pin, almost finished, fresh off the kitchen table..
